The DfES has appointed Evaluate to provide an independent evaluation service for products registered on Curriculum Online. Our evaluation process has been developed with a broad range of product types in mind, accommodating CD-roms, websites and other types of digital content.

To help you and the wider educational community make informed choices when choosing from the thousands of resources registered on Curriculum Online. To support you in making effective use of digital learning resources in the classroom. To save you time by providing clear, objective information on choosing and using educational digital resources.   Stage 1: Interim product evaluation Each product is examined by a teacher-evaluator as to its curriculum coverage, appropriateness for its stated purpose, potential contexts of use, teacher support features, content, design and usability. Stage 2: Full classroom evaluation The teacher-evaluator then uses the product in the classroom for up to six weeks, and evaluates the teaching benefits and effectiveness, pupils' responses and ways in which it can be used to best advantage.   We provide you with independent product evaluations of Curriculum Online registered products, carried out by specially trained fellow teachers with excellent knowledge of digital content and current classroom practice.
